Our Unison Affirmation
Unitarians began splitting from Congregationalist churches in the late 1700’s. One thing we kept from that part our history is reciting a covenant – a set of promises about how we want to be together – each week. Today we carry on this tradition by reciting our Unison Affirmation. .
We pledge to walk together in the ways of truth and affection, as best we know them now or may learn them in the days to come, that we and our children may be fulfilled and that we may speak to the world in words and actions of peace and goodwill.
