Drum Circle Service

In distant human history, drumming was a primary means of bringing people together, as part of rituals, ceremonies and celebrations.  Drumming was tightly integrated with singing, dancing and story telling.  In our modern culture we have the power of technology to connect us with others around the globe, and yet we seem to have lost touch with the intimacy of gathering in a circle to use rhythm, chant and dance to acknowledge our mutual need for meaningful togetherness and the expression of our deepest spiritual impulses.  Drum circles never truly disappeared from the world, but in these days of social isolation it seems we need them more than ever.  With Dave Curry as the guest presenter, he will guide us through a drum circle experience with the intention of using it as a vehicle to tap into that ancient wisdom, that is both simple and profound. If you have a drum of your own, bring it along, but Dave will supply enough instruments so everyone has something to play.
